Rooikop. A 294-ha game farm situated about 50km from Grahamstown on the Fort Beaufort road. The property is game fenced (valid CAE) with two internal game breeding camps, species presently being bred are Nyala ( 85), Black Impala ( 85) and Bushbuck. The balance of the farm is utilized with general game such as Kudu ( 40), Waterbuck, Impala ( 45), Bushbuck and other indigenous species.

The Koonap River (1.3km) forms a natural boundary along the one side, a boma has been erected for passive capture on the banks of this river, this river provides water for stock purposes throughout the farm. Lands along the river are irrigated with a pump with solar panels using draglines and sprinklers. A central 45 000l reservoir distributes water throughout the property.

Buildings include a one-bedroomed 2 bathroom, open plan homestead, fully air-conditioned with a verandah, braai, and entertainment area. A garden cottage with 4 bedrooms(3 bathrooms) provides guest accommodation, other buildings include a workshop with a cool room as well as a staff house (2 bedrooms with a shower, toilet and basin).

Although this property has a gravel public road running throughout this property is in fact secure and reasonably difficult to access (5 gates).
