The Tableview and Blouberg neighbourhood on the Western Seaboard of Cape Town includes the suburbs of Big Bay, Blaauwberg, Bloubergrant, Parklands and Tableview. The area is vibey both day and night. During the day, life revolves around the beach with surfing, stand-up boarding, running and cycling proving popular with locals. At night the numerous pubs, clubs and restaurants buzz with activity. The area is extremely popular with families due to it being child-friendly, having great schools and being affordable, in comparison to other areas in Cape Town.

I have owned my apartment in Bloubergrant for 13 years and love being here as I am close to the sea. I enjoy going for beach walks and I feel very secure and safe here.
Pristine beaches and incredible views of Robben Island and Table Mountain add to the appeal of this neighbourhood for locals and foreign buyers.
The night life is great. There is something for everyone - pubs, restaurants and clubs. In fact there are top restaurants right here, like Indian Chapter, Homespun and On the Rocks, to name a few.
Doodles and News Café on the Blouberg beach front are popular seaside restaurants. The Brazen Head at Seaside Village is a well frequented Irish Pub. The Lower Deck at The Blue Peter, which is one of the oldest restaurants in the area, is known for idyllic sea views.
The stunning Blouberg beach is where watersports like surfing and stand-up paddle boarding can be done. Dogs are also welcome, as well as cyclists.
This vibey neighbourhood has a MyCiti bus which travels along the R27 connecting Tableview, Blouberg, Sunningdale and Parklands to the CBD.
Even though prices have shown steady growth since the start of the millennium, property in the area still offers good value for money. Properties range from upmarket beachfront apartments for first time buyers and investors to freestanding homes for families.
I shop at Bayside mall and visit Eden on the Bay and other local restaurants often. It’s a vibey environment.
